IN-MaC Lab Studies
I currently coordinate the following studies:
Stress and Motivation: This study uses a laboratory paradigm to examine stress system reactivity in healthy individuals, individuals with binge eating disorder, gambling disorder, and cannabis use. This project involves clinical interviews, physiological measures, neuropsychological tasks and the Trier Social Stress Test.
Learning and Motivation: Similar to Stress and Motivation with the inclusion of functional magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to examine effort-based decision-making and reward learning in the scanner.
Cannabis and Motivation: Uses functional magnetic resonance imaging to examine how individuals make decisions about how much cannabis to purchase and consume at varying levels of price.
For participants: If you are interested in participating as a participant in any of these studies, please contact motivation@stjoes.ca
